Step 1: Select the slide

Now, on the slide, go to the Insert tab at the top and choose the option called Movie. Select Movie from File and then choose the video you want to add.

Step 2: Locate the YouTube video

Well just go to YouTube and find the video you want to add. Click on the Share button and then select Embed. Now, just uncheck any suggestions, and note down the code shown on the screen.

Step 3: Add the video

Go back to the presentation and move to the Insert tab. Choose Video and select Online Video. If you have an old PowerPoint version, then click on Video from Website. Just type the code in the next prompt. Apart from YouTube, you can also insert videos from other online platforms.

Step 4: Format the video

Go to the Playback tab to select if you want the video to start playing automatically or after clicking on it. You can select the thumbnail, add borders and effects.

  1. First, move to the slide on which you want to add the video.
  2. Now, click on the Insert option at the top.

  5. Select the video you want to add.
